The Link Research model LR-F2812COM is a dual RS-232 (UART) serial port daughtercard designed to operate with either the F2812 eZdsp™or the F28335 eZdsp development system from Spectrum Digital, Inc. With a maximum data rate of 921.6 kbps for each port, this daughtercard provides a simple way to add high speed communication ports to the F2812/335 eZdsp development system.
Everything needed to get up and running quickly is included. In addition to the daughtercard board, you get an extra set of headers for the eZdsp board, a 6 foot DB9 M/F cable, nylon standoffs for the daughtercard and the eZdsp board, and a CD containing sample CCS projects and documentation.

This is the standard board containing two RS-232 serial ports each having a female DB-9 right angle connector. This board will operate with either the F2812 eZdsp or the F28335 eZdsp board. One port is electrically connected to the F2812 DSP's SCI-A peripheral pins, and the other port is connected to the SCI-B peripheral pins. This version of the product includes everything shown in What's in the Box above. |

The image above shows a typical use of the LR-F2812COM serial port daughtercards. The laptop is running Code Composer Studio (CCS) and is connected to the F2812 eZdsp board with the DB-25 cable. The DB-9 serial port cable is also connected to the laptop, allowing HyperTerminal or a user's custom program to communicate with the eZdsp board.
