The model LR-232-2 is a two channel, RS-232 (UART) serial port daughtercard for the C5000/C6000 TI and Spectrum Digital development systems. One port is configured as a DTE, and has a male DB-9 connector, while the other is configured as a DCE, and has a female DB-9 connector. The daughtercard supports data rates of up to 921.6kbps, and is compatible with several different development systems. Please see our compatibility chart for details.
The daughtercard ships with a DB9-DB9 serial cable, and several complete CCS projects demonstrating the board's capabilities.

This board includes two independent RS-232 serial ports. This version of the board is not stackable. The stackable version is our model LR-232-2-S. Maximum data rate (baud rate) for each channel is 921,600 bps. This version of the product includes everything shown in What's in the Box above.

The image above shows a typical use of the LR-232-x-x series of serial port daughtercards. In the center, the 4 port version of the daughtercard is shown plugged into the 6713 DSK. One port of this board is connected to a laptop, and can be used for control and monitor of the 6713's program. A second port is connected to another 2 port serial daughtercard (right), and can be used for DSK-to-DSK data communications.
